The work of God

The Waters have had their second Sunday. Tj taught Sunday School and the afternoon Bible Study, Jean taught the children's church and Sunday School, Barbie helped with the powerpoint for the song service and yesterday she led the song service for our special service. On Holidays and Sundays (which Saturday was a holiday) the Filipino (female)domestic workers in the community stay at the church all day, they have no place else to go. But the hang out around the piano and sing songs then they take time for prayer and fellowship. They eat up all teaching and absolutely love Jean. This afternoon they were all fighting for her attention, Jean come see this, Jean taste this, Jean look at this. Jean has been a trooper and has made it her mission, no matter what, to try everything at least once.

Unification Day, Fireworks went off at night with a light show using the buildings behind us.

Yesterday we went to Hong Kong Island. The Lord had his hand in this visit. We were able to see the celebration of Hong Kong's unification with China, as well as the plight of many of the imigrant workers. As we walked around Hong Kong Island, the streets (which were closed off from cars for the holiday) were filled with domestic workers from Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, they live with their employers so they have no space to call their own, just like the ones from church only these guys just sit on the streets, some are sleeping, eating, playing cards, some sell small items that they have made.
It was a busy day, and then followed by a very full Sunday, so that is about it, just wanted you to know how this weekend has gone,
